My name is Bernadette Monize, the founder of Divine Desserts. My cakes are specially made with love and passion, that’s why they are so “Divine”. My bestseller is my delectable cheese cake, which is made from scratch and has a wonderfully smooth velvet 'light-as-a-feather' rich texture.
I was initially taught on how to bake cheesecakes by my Aunt about 25 years ago. Since then, I have continued to perfect the taste and quality of the cheesecakes by enhancing the family recipe. The recipes that make the magic for Divine Desserts are drawn and perfected from generations of family baking secrets provided by my Mom, Aunts, Grandmothers. I expanded my horizons in baking other delicious desserts such as classical sponge cake, cupcakes, zucchini breads, Caribbean style rum/black cake, and many more. Today, I am very proud to apply my experience and skill in the divine dessert and cake masterpieces hand crafted by me.
One of the most important things I learned early along my journey into Artisanal dessert crafting was to listen to your people and always put heart into every aspect of your craft. Baking cakes and preparing desserts has been my passion ever since I can remember.
My impressive credentials included classes on the Wilton Method of Cake decorating and also completing McCall's Intermediate Cake Decorating course as well! I continue to learn and apply new skills and knowledge to my repertoire of cake crafting abilities, which is what makes Divine Deserts a truly extraordinary experience.
